Abstract

Electrically tunable delays and advances for 600fs pulses is achieved using ultra-fast nonlinearities in semiconductor optical amplifiers. Feasibility of cascading multiple SOAs to achieve higher delays is confirmed using a novel scheme that uses a single SOA.
