Raman Slow Light in Fibers and on Chip

Abstract

We demonstrate all-optical tunable delays using stimulated Raman scattering in an optical fiber and in a silicon-on-insulator waveguide. These results represent a step towards implementing optically tunable dispersion in ultra-high bandwidth telecommunication systems.
