Slow-Light Diffraction Management and Nonlinear Localization in Coupled Bragg-Grating Waveguides

Abstract

We show that in specially designed nonlinear waveguides with phase-shifted Bragg gratings it is possible to realize the frequency-independent spatial diffraction in the vicinity of band-gap, allowing for efficient spatiotemporal self-trapping of slow-light pulses.
