Tools of Optimal Control for the Design of Robust Atom Interferometers

Abstract

We examine the robustness of analytic pulse schemes for atomic fountain interferometers with respect to pulse amplitude and initial velocity distribution and design new robust schemes using numerical optimal control theory.
