Quantum-Optimal Object Classification in Sub-Diffraction Incoherent Imaging

Abstract

We derive quantum limits and optimal measurements for arbitrary hypothesis tests between incoherent, diffraction-limited objects, enabling discrimination of an order of magnitude more objects than direct imaging.
