The Effect of Electron Spin Dephasing on Nuclear Frequency Focusing in Quantum Dots

Abstract

We investigate how dephasing of a central electron spin in a quantum dot affects protocols designed to polarise the nuclear spin bath. We find that dephasing imposes significant constraints on the viability of such protocols.
