Generating counterpropagating path-entangled photon pairs source using simultaneous collinear spontaneous parametric down-conversion processes of nonlinear photonic crystal

Abstract

We propose a counterpropagating path-entangled photon pairs source using a quasi-periodic modulated lithium niobate crystal. Through the simulation of joint-spectral amplitude of photons, we confirm that our scheme can produce the maximally path-entangled two-photon states.
