Quantum state characterization of high-dimensionally entangled photons

Abstract

We tomographically reconstruct the high-dimensionally entangled quantum state produced by parametric downconversion. Our results precisely characterize the entanglement, thus establishing the suitability of such states for applications in quantum information science.
