Terahertz wave control enabled by nano objects embedded in slot antennas

Abstract

We show that sub-skin depth nano metallic objects embedded in terahertz slot antennas strongly modulate their resonance features. Our findings have fundamental implications for sensitive nanoparticle detections using millimeter wavelength light.
