Revealing nonlinear plasmon-photon interactions using k-space spectroscopy

Abstract

We show how k-space spectroscopy distinguishes between the surface-plasmon (SP) and photon nonlinear interactions for SHG when metal films are excited in the Kretschmann-geometry, and confirm that two SP annihilate to create a second-harmonic photon.
