Ultrafast Dynamics of Ozone Exposed to Ionizing Radiation

Abstract

By irradiating ozone molecules with few-femtosecond soft x-ray pulses and probing the fragmentation pathways, we find that any excess energy is rapidly and efficiently transferred into internal excitation of the triatomic molecule.
