Plasmonic Antenna-Array for 2D Sub-Diffraction Focusing Beyond the Optical Near-Field

Abstract

We propose a practical optical probe configuration capable of 2D sub-diffraction imaging at a large working distance at visible frequencies. The structure consists of a planar monopole antenna-array that facilitates super-focusing due to “radiationless interference”.
