FM-to-AM effect caused by beam propagation using smoothing by spectral dispersion

Abstract

Spatial and temporal modulations caused by beam propagation after using smoothing by spectral dispersion are studied. Simulations and experimental results agree with the deduced analytical model, suggesting minimizing free-space propagation and adopting image relay.
