Photoinduced Femtosecond Formation of Ferromagnetism in a Strongly Correlated Antiferromagentic Manganite

Abstract

We report a pump threshold behavior of fs photoinduced magnetization enhancement in a antiferromagnetic manganite, which shows the establishment of thermally-inaccessible, hidden ferromagnetic ground state and build-up of new magnetic order parameters within 180 fs.
