Coherent control of gold nanoparticles formation

Abstract

We use pulse-shaping of femtosecond pulses to coherent control the synthesis of gold nanoparticles induced by two-photon absorption. Applying distinct phase masks to the pulse, we were able to shift the plasmon absorption band.
