Ultrasensitive On-Chip Photonic Crystal Nanobeam Sensor using Optical Bistability

Abstract

An ultrasensitive nonlinear cavity sensing method is proposed and demonstrated, in which the detection limit is not bounded by the quality factor of the cavity. 10mg/dL glucose concentration and 100aM BSA molecules are detected.
