Silicon Based Ultrafast Active Plasmonics near 1.5 μm

Abstract

Light plasmon coupling resonances near 1.5 μm are optically shifted by nearly 50 nm on a gold-coated silicon grating for 800 fs, 775 nm excitation; recovery occurs in ~70 ps.
