Observation of Slow Relaxation on Nano-Confined Water in Nanoporous MCM-41 by Terahertz Spectroscopy

Abstract

Interfacial structural and condensed water in nanoporous MCM-41 were investigated by THz-TDS for the first time. A slow reorientation relaxation time of 30 and 100 ps were observed for condensed and structural water.
