Direct Observations of UV Extraordinary Optical Transmission and Localized field enhancement through Nanoslits

Abstract

The UV extraordinary optical transmission through nanoslit structures in the far-field and localized field enhancement in the near-field are both directly observed. Numerical modeling results are also presented, showing good agreement with the experiment results.
