Quantum-mechanical inelastic collisions of Wannier-Mott excitons

Abstract

Systematic measurements of the temperature dependence of the two-body collision-induced loss of dark paraexcitons in Cu2O show a diverging cross section at low temperatures. Scattering problems between excitons in general require quantum-mechanical treatments.
