Abstract
The longitudinal components of orthogonal-circularly polarized fields gain or lose topological charge after sub-wavelength-aperture transmission depending on the polarization handedness. We verify our analysis experimentally and numerically, and produce shadow-side spiral-phase fields of arbitrary vorticity.
