Abstract

Spectral dependent values of the third-harmonic-generation susceptibility χ(3)(3ω:ω,ω,ω) of Ag-nanoparticles have been successfully determined. When the third-harmonic-generation wavelength coincides with the Ag-nanoparticles’ plasmon-resonant frequency, strong χ(3)(3ω:ω,ω,ω) enhancement is experimentally proved for the first time.
