Discrete diffraction and solitons in light-induced Bessel-like photonic lattices

Abstract

We report the first experimental demonstration of ring-shaped Bessel-like photonic lattices and rotary solitons in such lattices. Transition from discrete diffraction to single-channel linear guidance or nonlinear self-waveguiding is clearly observed.
