Abstract

We have studied experimentally and theoretically the parasitic lasing phenomenon in large-aperture Ti:Sapphire crystals to optimize amplification schemes of multi-petawatt class Ti: sapphire laser. Simulations and experimental results of high power amplification will be presented.
