Interferometry for space-based gravitational wave detection

Abstract

The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) will be the first space-based laser interferometric gravitational wave detector. LISA poses a new set of challenges, requiring picometer level interferometric measurements between spacecraft separated by 5 million kilometers.
