Abstract

Hybrid AFM probes, fully aluminum coated, are mounted into a Scanning Near-field Optical Microscope and used purely for light collection. Their characteristics in coherent imaging of sub-wavelength structures are investigated both experimentally and theoretically. An experimental spectroscopic response study is also performed.
