Frequency-Correlated 1550-nm Photon Pairs for Quantum Communication

Abstract

We observed frequency correlation of 1550-nm photon pairs generated via broadband parametric downconversion. Wavelength division multiplexing components are used to separate photon pairs into correlated, narrowband channels for potential use in increased-capacity quantum networks.
