Generation of Polarization Entanglement from a PPKTP Parametric Downconverter

Abstract

We have generated polarization-entangled photon pairs from a type-II phase-matched periodically poled KTP parametric downconverter with collinear outputs. Bell’s inequality was violated with a value of 2.57 ± 0.03.
