Laser oscillation with photonic molecule modes in resonantly coupled micro-spheres

Abstract

Mode profile and lasing characteristics of resonantly coupled whispering gallery modes of size-matched dye doped polymer spheres placed on semiconductor V-groove are examined. Photonic molecule like behavior is clearly observed.
