Angle- and spectrally-resolved Bragg scattering on two-dimensional silicon-based photonic crystals

Abstract

The angle dependent diffraction efficiency of 2D photonic crystals is measured to be lower than 5∙10−4 for certain frequencies and unity spectrally nearby in good agreement with numerical calculations, whereby the surface termination is crucial.
