Bragg solitons in nonlinear periodic structures

Abstract

Pulse propagation through uniform fibers is described by a nonlinear Schrödinger equation equation (NLSE), according to which, the main effects on the pulse are material dispersion and self-phase modulation, due to the nonlinearity of the glass.
