Femtosecond laser ablation of graphite

Abstract

Recently we have shown1 that near-threshold ablation of absorbing solids with femto-and picosecond pulses exhibits a material- independent behavior, which is characterized by a distinct transient interference phenomenon in the nanosecond time range.
