Femtosecond time-resolved measurements of third-order nonlinearities

Abstract

Of all the techniques used to measure the third-order nonlinearity, the phase approach has widely proved its precision and sensitivity. Here we present a sampling Mach-Zehnder interferometer to measure and time resolve the optical nonlinear response of various liquids and solids.
