Abstract

Exciton radiative dynamics in quasi-2D systems has been extensively investigated, Recent photoluminescence (PL) studies in GaAs quantum wells (QW) have shown a gradual rise of exciton PL following a resonant excitation,1 This gradual rise reflects directly initial momentum relaxation that enables excitons to emit photons in directions other than the reflected or transmitted directions. Very little information, however, is available on radiative dynamics of biexcitons (or excitonic molecules) in these structures.
