Abstract

In superflurescene (SF) a collection of atoms or molecules prepared in a state of complete inversion undergoes relaxation by collective spontaneous decay. In spontaneous emission (SE) the atoms radiate independently and the radiation emitted is incoherent. Both of these processes are initiated by quantum noise, i.e., spontaneous emission.
