Giant photoinduced excitonic Faraday rotation in semimagnetic quantum wells

Abstract

Giant photoinduced Faraday rotations were observed in bulk semimagnetic semiconductors for frequencies close to the band-gap resonance1 that can be exploited for high-contrast signal processing and also for the development of sensitive nonlinear diagnostics.
