Abstract

Injection locking is very useful for obtaining high-power coherent laser signals. Usually, a weak external coherent laser beam derived from a stable master oscillator is injected into another high-power laser oscillator or amplifier. Both high-spectral-coherence and high-spatial-coherence laser beams of high powers can be obtained. In this paper we report, for the first time to our knowledge, the intracavity injection lasing of a composite laser that contains an Nd:YLF and an Ndrglass medium and the cooperative lasing behavior.
