Abstract

We present the results of a spectroscopic investigation of laser-excited sodium-atom Rydberg states using an atom-beam spectrometer with field ionization. A detailed description of the spectrometer and the measurement methods is presented in Refs. 1 and 2. Measurement results of transition frequencies with a relative error less than 10−8 between levels with quantum numbers in the range of 24 ≤ n ≤ 30 are presented in Table 1.
