Abstract
Filamentation of high-peak-power infrared (800-nm) femtosecond laser pulses in air has been reported1 and has been used for triggering high-voltage lightning discharges.2 We report here a low-threshold filamentation of UV (248-nm) femtosecond pulses in air.
