Abstract

Homogeneous polarization dephasing time T2 of near-band-edge optical transitions in a CdSxSe1−x semiconductor-doped glass system, a Corning CS2-58 color glass filter, was measured by using the incoherent time- delayed four-wave-mixing (4WM) technique. Recently, similar studies have been carried out by other groups at low temperatures,1,2 but they have had little success at room temperature. In this work, we report unambiguous measurements of T2 as well as the inhomogeneous dephasing time T2* at room temperature.
