Diffusion of light by a collection of nonlinear Kerr particles

Abstract

During the last decade the subject of diffusion and multiple scattering of light has undergone a remarkable revival. This relates to the phenomenon of localization of light and its weak counterpart, enhancement of backscattering. The latter effect was observed for the first time in 1985.1
