Abstract
Despite extensive efforts to develop higher-performance nonlinear optical materials, silica fiber and carbon disulfide remain the materials of choice for many applications involving third-order nonlinear optical effects (e.g., phase conjugation, stimulated Brillouin scattering, stimulated Raman scattering, and nonlinear coupling).
