Interaction of twin beams with three-level atomic systems

Abstract

We present several theoretical results regarding the interaction of three-level atoms with pairs of correlated photons, such as those obtained from an optical parametric amplifier or oscillator. We look at both the degenerate and the nondegenerate cases and at various possible configuration levels.
