Abstract
Performing tunable nonlinear optical techniques in the vacuum ultraviolet (vuv) region is a challenging task, but one with many important applications, including trace-element detection, surface analysis, detection of atomic ions, and basic spectroscopy. We describe multiphoton measurements using wavelengths below 150 nm produced using two-photon-resonant difference-frequency mixing.
