Interference of nonlinear optical signals generated by multimode lasers

Abstract

Interference between two second-harmonic (SH) waves generated collinearly by two sources has several important applications, including the phase of nonlinear susceptibility1 and accurate measurements2 of the difference in the refractive index (dispersion) between light at frequencies ω m and 2ω.
