Abstract

The semiconductor Bloch equations1,2 are solved to analyze the time-resolved photon echo signal in semiconductors for various excitation conditions. The equations describe the dynamic behavior of the light-induced polarization and carrier population in semiconductors, including the Coulomb-interaction and the excitation-induced many-body effects in the screened Hartree-Fock approximation.
