Abstract
Fluorescence and phosphorescence studies of biological molecules are becoming increasingly important irr molecular biology and biosensing. In applications such as molecular structure study and luminescence assays, it may be advantageous to be able to measure the fluorescence and phosphorescence emissions simultaneously. Unfortunately, this is extremely difficult in practice because of tile large differences in both the temporal and intensity characteristics of fluorescent and phosphorescent emission. In this paper; we report a novel technique that allows both emissions to be detected with one photomultipler tube.
