Harmonic entanglement from second-order nonlinearity: optimization and interpretation

Abstract

We theoretically investigate EPR entanglement in continuous-variable quadrature measurements between the fundamental and second-harmonic fields generated in the degenerate second-order nonlinear optical process. The parameters that optimize entanglement are found.
