Abstract

In this paper we propose a novel source to study the role of spatial and intensity quantum correlation in ghost imaging. By seeding a parametric down-conversion (PDC) source with a pseudo thermal source the output transforms in a two-photon field, whose correlation properties can be tuned by changing the seed field intensity and its spatial coherence. This source can be used to explore experimental configurations not covered so far by classical and quantum ghost imaging experiments.
