Characterization of The Legnaro Fr MOT

Abstract

The most recent results obtained with the Fr MOT set up in Legnaro INFN National Laboratories will be presented. Both 210Fr and 209Fr isotopes have been cooled and trapped. Continuous and pulsed regimes have been tested and the overall efficiency evaluated. Possible improvements and future applications will be discussed.
